Artifact Four
In the Fall of 2023, I took Professor Lombardo’s ENGL 3130 class, Business Writing. This artifact was our final project in that course, which asked us to create a business proposal of our choice that meets structural requirements. I decided to create a social media marketing proposal for the owner and manager of the business I was working at, Scenthound, which is a dog grooming company. It was a persuasive piece proposing that we incorporate social media marketing into the business model. I wanted to include this project in my portfolio because it is so different from many of the other projects I have done. This assignment was more geared towards business and contains more graphs and data than my other works, but still showcases the persuasive techniques that is a core part of rhetoric. The proposal was strong in its core argument, logos, and visuals. However, if I were to revise it in the future, I would elaborate, potentially by providing an example of a franchise this marketing campaign has been successful at.
