Artifact Five

In the Fall of 2023, I took ENGL 3090, Exposition: History, Theory, and Practice, with Professor Hocks. For this assignment, we were asked to create an expository piece, simply instructing the reader about how to do something. I chose to explain how to meditate to anyone interested in beginning meditation, specifically students. I wanted to include this artifact in my portfolio because it is a great example of one of my expository pieces. Rhetoric can sometimes focus on persuasion, but this piece showcases expository skills, too. The final product was strong in its sources, images, and overall explanation. However, if I revised today, I would want to elaborate a little more. I might try to include different kinds of meditation or some historical facts to provide some more information other than just a tutorial.
